The most significant cultural monument in the village after the Liberation has been the cultural club named after St Pantaleymon. It was founded on the initiative of Trendafil Halachev, Georgi Karpelov and Hristosko Totkov on 11th May 1909. It had its name until 9th September 1944. Afterwards it was named after Lazar Bosnev. At that time the painter Baltov was working there as an icon-painter who created the sign of the cultural club and provided it with an organization chart of the Bulgarian cultural clubs. The cultural club was in an old masters’ cafe. Enthusiastic young people painted and decorated it. Rehearsals and dancing-parties were held there. In the winter of 1909-1910 plays Exiles and The Massacre of Batak were performed before the longing for entertainment audience. Soon after the opening of the cultural club a library was founded by receiving granted books or by buying new ones. The first librarian, who worked on a principle of public service, was the priest Stoyan Popov.
In 1950s Atanas Chunchev was well known as a cultural activist. From 1956 to 1990 he was a librarian and organized the educational work in the village.
