Nature and climate take the advantages of both the mountain and the plain and so they are the good premise to develop country tourism. The climate is moderate continental. There is a distinctive mountain slope wind (gornyakat – vetrendolski), which is cold and comes from the west over the village of Vetren dol and dolnyakat – white wind which is warm and comes from south - east. In the village of Patalenitza there are good climatic conditions to treat some diseases. The climate here is compared to the one in the town of Sandanski. There was a clinic for people with weak chest. People suffering from asthma feel good in the village. The area has no pollution.
