The town hall in the village of Patalenitza

 

The Town hall is situated between the school and the kindergarten. It has been in this building since 1970. Before that the administration worked in the old school building for many years.
The local master Peter Gagov designated the first mayor of the village. From 1847 to 1870 Peter Gagov himself was the mayor. He supervised the uncovering of St Dimitar church. During the Ottoman yoke the natives saved it from destruction by covering it with soil. A new village school was built in 1868. After his death, Master Peter Gagov was buried next to the altar in St Dimitar church. In1871 the ruler of the town of Pazardjik Ali Bey, designated Temelko Viranev for a mayor and he was at the post for eight years. The following mayors were Ivan Gagov, Mavre Ashov, Angel Popov, Stoil Halachev, and Angel Bosnev. On 6th December 1899 in the village of Patalenitza, the first agricultural group in the region of Pazardjik was organized. Dimitar Halachev was a mayor for 15 years, from 1904 to 1919. During his terms, on 11th May 1909 the Community Centre St Panteleimon was opened. Firstly it was in the building of the master's cafe.
On 27th March 1920 Nikola Razloganov was designated for a mayor. At the time the village street fountains were repaired. Also, the building of the monument with the fountain began. On 22nd April1922 the village post

office started to work. Because of his contacts with Aleksander Stamboliyski, Nikola Razloganov was given a loan and he organized the construction work of the present school building.

In 1939 the village water – conduit was begin constructed and it was finished in a good time because of the successful supervision of the mayor, Mr. Krosnev. During his term the village was electrified. In the village centre a loudspeaker was mounted and the people were given the chance to listen to the radio programmes of Sofia Radio.
In 1946 the village Health Care Centre began to work. Until 1965 there was a delivering ward in it. The kindergarten was opened in 1965. In 1973 with the active participation of the locals, a central heating installation for the kindergarten, the Town hall and the school was fixed.
Over the second half of the last century mayors were George Savov, Spas Shterev, Todor Yankulov, Dimitar Bozhkov, Lilyana Veleva, Andrei Andreev and Todor Kozarev. At the moment the mayor of the village in his second term is Dr George Mantarov.
