The village is a starting point for outings to Livadite countryside and for visiting Dobra Voda hut. The villages of Vetrendol and Varvara are situated 6km away from Patalenitza. These villages have grown so close that the borderline between them is unreal. The village of Varvara is famous for its mineral swimming pool. "St Marina" church is nearby. From Varvara you can go to Varvara mineral baths and to the amazing mountain resort – Velingrad.
